i am making an automatic vacuum cleaner, its robotic… i want to know that what type and what secifications of motor i must use that can carry 5kg of that vacuum cleaner?

I would LOVE a Dyson but I dont want to spend 0. So what is the best vacuum cleaner that is within a reasonable price?

There have been many technological discoveries and advancements that have occurred in your lifetime. All of them thanks to great individuals who demonstrate for a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). The transition from VHS to Blu-Ray and DVDs, the transition from analog phones to smartphones capable of accessing internet data, and the discovery of the vaccine for the H!N1 Virus, are some of the many advancements that have occured in our lifetime.

Taking into consideration our current progress, how do you see the world 20 years in the future? What new advancements in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) do you see happening?

How do I see the world 20 years in the future? I see a future where science, technology, engineering and math has become way more advanced than what it was in the past, where STEM makes our lives more easier than ever before. One area in which great advancements have been made with STEM is the medical field. Another area of STEM in the future is green technology were there are no more nuclear power plants and an alternate fuel for our vehicles. The Internet is in almost everything we use like our televisions, cars, stoves and many other devices and appliances that we use everyday.

In the medical field there are robots that perform surgery on humans that are very difficult and risky for a doctor to perform. The robots are able to save more people’s lives because they are able to operate on areas that doctors could not do in the past, for example, the robots can successfully transplant any organ in the body that someone might need in order to live. There are really tiny robots that go into your body and cure diseases such as cancer. An example would be the tiny robots are able to go into your body and deliver radiation directly inside a cancerous tissue or they are able to go inside a smoker’s lungs and clean them up like a vacuum and prevent lung cancer. Although robots that are able to perform surgery better than human doctors or surgeons they have still not replaced humans as doctors and probably never will, they will only assist the doctor or surgeon. People who had lost a limb are now able to replace them with fully functional robotic limbs, like Anakin Skywalker’s hand from the movie “Star Wars”. Blind people are able to see again with bionic eyes. Doctors and scientists can transplant blind people’s eyes with bionic eyes.

The power plants, which are harmful to the environment, have been replaced with advanced windmills and solar technology. There are new kinds of solar panels that are more affordable and are more advanced then the last generations of solar panels so more people can have solar panels on their houses. All cars now run on alternate fuel such as hydrogen and natural gas, which generate less harmful air pollutants and greenhouse gases or do not generate harmful gases at all. (ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR THIS PARAGRAPH?)

The Internet is on almost every type of transportation, mobile device, appliances and almost every classroom of almost every school in most parts of the world. Let’s say you went to a restaurant last week and liked what you ate but do not want to go back to that restaurant again and you want to cook it your self at home, you can just go on the stove that has internet and type in the food you want to cook and it will tell you what ingredients you need and how to cook it. Every student in a classroom will have a computer with an operating system designed just for school that make sure the students do not do anything else but school work the computers. For example, after the teacher has lectured the class the kids will be tested on their knowledge on the computers and once they are done the computers will send all the information to the teacher’s computer telling the teacher what the students need to improve on.

I have a roomba 550 and was wondering how do i clean the filter on it. Right now i just take the hair off and bang it against the side of the trash bin… could i use some water on and then let it dry??? Also does anyone know how to properly clean the brushes and the squeegee thing all I’ve been doing i picking out the hair with tweezers. Thanks All

Is it worth the money or will it just work for a little and then just break. I’ve been reading mixed reviews so i thought I’d ask on here. I’m looking at the Roomba®i-Robot®536 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner. From costco anyone know anywhere else where you could get one. At walmart they seem more expensive.

I have an Argos vacuum cleaner which uses a bag. It small but works well. Recently it has became faulty, it goes on for 2/3 mins then turns off, then 20 mins later randomly turns on again. This is very annoying and means it takes up to 3 hours to hoover one room.

Any suggestions before I throw it out and get a new one??

Money is very tight right now and my old, old, old vacuum cleaner truly bit the dust permanently. When I went to wal-mart to look at new vacuum cleaners I became rather confused and bewildered over the selection. I have been left behind with the 1970’s style vacuums. Yes, I know – it’s rather pathetic.
Can anybody out there make a suggestion? I do not want to spend over 0-160. I have short pile wall to wall carpeting and linoleum.

The vacuum cleaner is a Toshiba brand (VC-702EX). I tried checking the local hardware shops but I can’t find it anywhere. They are only selling filters for new models of vacuum cleaners. I can’t even find the local Toshiba distributor here.

Which is better Dyson or Miele and how much money should you spend to get a good vacuum cleaner? Those once I have had were junk.

All our rooms are quite large and I don’t think there would be spaces for it to get stuck, although we do have a step from our kiten to our living room, would this be a problem? I know it’s meant to detect steps/stairs and avoid them. All our floors are also wood/slate and I don’t know if most of the 5 star reviews are based on carpetted houses! Any advice appreciated!

I have an old Kirby vacuum cleaner that will not start unless the brush roll is manually spun. Once started it runs fine. I also noticed that the motor will start and run if the brush roll is disconnected so there’s no load on the motor. Any ideas on what to look at first to fix the problem?

My older brother (19) is really annoying, a jerk, and still, more people like him than me (15).

He’s really mean. He is constantly trying to be as harsh as he can be, and it pisses me off. He got senioritis probably years and years ago, and still hasn’t lost it. He uses the fact that he’s older than me, or the fact that he has done things more than me, as an excuse to boss me around, and all that.
He constantly steals my iPod, or goes through my phone, or whatever. But, the second I even touch his hpone, or even his stupid childish Nerf guns, or ANYTHING, he hurts me, or pops my knuckles (which really hurts me) or screams at me. And seriously, TOUCHING them pisses him off.

After doing all this, he usually comes into my room, acting all lovey-dovey, like everything is fine and our relationship is perfect.

To make this all worse, my parents somehow can find it in them to favor him more than me. He always got bad grades like C’s and D’s, and I always got grades like A’s and B’s. My parents are proud of him whenever he does better, like maybe a higher C. But when I get a C, I get a talk about how much better I can do. When my oldest brother went off to college, I kinda cried. But when he did, I was happy. He recently returned. My parents are always going on about how proud they are of him. He just got third place in a MINOR COOKING contest. My parents jumped for joy. I built things in school like a hydraulic robotic arm, or a huge ceramic castle, or an electric RC airboat. What do I get? A "Good job. That’s cool. OH, by the way, Your older brother just won 0 for a cooking contest. I’m so proud of him."

Yet another complaint…
my brother can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. My brother wants to go party with a friend? "Okay! Just be back before, oh, 11:30, and pick up the basement when you get back." (actual quote from my dad.)
When I want to have a friend over… it’s "Nope. You have to unload the dishwasher, and do laundry, and vacuum, and clean your room, and clean that mess you made (which is my older brother’s fault) and than you can." So I’d do all those by like 4:00. "Okay, now can I?" "Nope. It’s almost 5, and we probably shouldn’t have your friends over past then anyway. Maybe in a couple weeks."
GAH!!!! I hate having an older brother.

So also… When we were little, he would always get what I wanted before I got one. At Christmas one year, he got a Gameboy Color (I know, old story) When I got a watch. Then the following year, he got a Gameboy Advance, when I got a color. Then, I got an Advance, when my parents bought him and my other older brother a Sega. It’s been stuff like that EVER SINCE I was born.

So he is always bragging about all these cool different thing he does in college, like EAT. Yes, one of his classes involves purely eating. Or how to make different things. My mom likes spending time with him just to learn interesting facts. Then maybe if we’re talking to someone, they will say Hey? What are you doing this summer?" I’ll say marching band then they will continue listening to his life dreams and such.

I know a lot of you probably think I am blowing things out of proportion, but this is all true. This may be like a 1/10 of stuff that I’m mad about. I have searched all over the internet, literally for HOURS to try to figure out how to be happier toward him but I haven’t found anything on how I feel. I have already tried ignoring him, and all that. Or being nice to him. He just throws that back in my face. He "IS THE BOSS OF ME. HE IS MY ELDER. Psh. What a load of shit. I’m sick and tired of him. He even acts like he’s in pain when he wakes up, just to not do chores or clean or whatever.

Oh, and fighting back isn’t an option. I always get in trouble for that sort of thing. I’m the kind of guy that is really weak, but if I get pissed off enough, I’ll probably ragingly kill anyone and everyone who even annoys me.

PLEASE. I need any help I can get. I can’t live with this for the rest of my life. I really wish people would see my side of things. They just don’t. PLEASE.

In fact, I saw my mom acting all fun and happy with my brother just a few moments ago. Just now, she came into my room and got mad at me for not making my bed.

Anyway, that’s exactly what my dream has been my whole life: I am rich and have an awesome life, while he is sitting in some apartment all sad. And that’s probably what will happen; I’m working hard in all my classes, while he doesn’t bother getting scholarships, or finding a summer job for experience. He actually sits playing video games a lot.

After I have finished vacuuming my room today, I took the filter bag out and cleaned it.But when I put it back, it was broken. So can I still use the vacuum cleaner? Are there any safety hazards?
